Developed and maintained Mediaguide's music chart system for format, genre and specialty shows. Maintained and enhanced projects in a variety of languages (Perl / Java / PHP) that were transitioned to me from other developers. Created an internal tool to allow the content team to QA ad verification data for new business ventures. Also provided tool enhancements as the business process was redefined and certain tasks were outsourced. Technical lead for a project to rebrand the reporting software and look into our data warehouse structure to help improve response times for reports. In charge of the migration/architecture of Mediaguide's reporting software from a Java / PL/SQL code base to a PHP / memcached / SQL code base that utilized better data warehouse techniques. The migration was undertaken to improve the customer's experience by bringing response times down to reasonable wait times. |

Participated as a software engineer/technical lead for bigchalk.com’s development group based in Berwyn, PA. Working with Java/Jakarta-Struts and Apple WebObjects to develop education products utilizing a Model-View-Controller framework. Products were integrated with in-house XML Services as well as Cisco’s Enterprise Content Delivery Network. Organized software releases for delivery to QA incorporating code changes from other developers for new enhancements and bug fixes. Also provided knowledge and experience for maintaining existing products acquired from Infonautics. |
